Page 1 of 1 At the 2001 Tokyo Motorshow Isuzu showed this British designed Zen concept. The four-seater sports utility/panel van features a 'transformer-style' interior which converts into a traditional Japanese tea room complete with bamboo flooring and Tatami woven mats. Designed and built in the Midlands, the stylish stress-buster aims to appeal to Tokyo high-flyers who can turn their Isuzu into a stationary office either during regular traffic jams or parked near their next appointment. Every possible distraction simply folds away - from the steering wheel which arcs into oblivion and gear lever which slides into a drawer, to the traditional Royal Blue silk-covered seats which disappear into the fascia and floor, leaving a large open space for contemplation or concentration. With these 'relaxing' features the name Zen sounds nothing but appropriate. Page 1 of 1
