The 4MATIC models have the same engine power as the E 55 AMG and take only fractionally longer to sprint from 0 - 100 km/h (saloon 5.8 seconds, estate 6.0 seconds). Externally the E 55 AMG 4MATIC saloon and estate can be told apart from the regular versions by their 18-inch AMG wheels and the special AMG styling comprising front apron, side mouldings and rear apron, while beneath the surface they harbour the 5.5 litre engine and specially tuned AMG suspension.
