Page 1 of 1  To compete with the small French Salmson and Amilcar sports cars MG launched the Midget in 1929. In 1932 MG introduced a new, updated version of the Midget, the J2 or the Midget J2. The small four cylinder engine was now fitted with a crossflow cylinder head and two Carburetors.
