Page 1 of 1 In 1929 Rolls Royce introduced the last model powered by the big side valve straight six engine introduced almost 25 years earlier. The Phantom II featured a much improved front and rear suspension compared to the Phantom I it replaced. Production lasted over five years with 1402 Phantom IIs produced.
The Phantom IIs were deliverd by the factory as rolling chassis and handed to the mercy of various coachbuilders. This All Weather Tourer was designed by the American duo Hibbard & Darrin and built in England by T.H. Gill & Son. It is seen here in the Dutch AutoMusa Bergeyk museum. Page 1 of 1
