Page 1 of 1  Inspired by Volkswagen's W12 supercar concepts and the Touareg off-roader, the Tarek is set to compete in the world's most gruelling rally, the Rally Paris Dakar. Launched at the 2002 Essen Motorshow the Tarek comes equipped with a 218bhp Diesel engine. This engine, like all Diesel engines, doesn't impress when it comes to horsepower, but, with 390 Nm on the tap, it will easily outrun much more powerful petrol-engined adversaries.Three teams will be entered.
