The aim at Kleemann was to create the world's most powerful and at the same time for every day use driveable and long-lasting Mercedes-Benz car. A more effective Supercharger system is being used instead of the works unit (AMG). The reason for this conversion is: the Kleemann system guarantees much lower intake air temperatures which result in a higher oxygen density and thus more power and torque. Another side effect: lower intake air temperatures increase the engine's durability caused by less thermal stress inside the engine.
The final result is a max. power of 640 hp at 5.800 rpm. and a maximum torque of 835 Nm between 2000 and 6000 rpm. It is unbelievable how the Kleemann Supercharger system changes the character of the whole car: the torque is outstanding and gives the driver the impression of never ending strength from idle to the rev. limiter. No matter what driving situation you're in, you can stay cool and relaxed knowing what the (hidden) beast under the bonnet is able to do with the elegant looking roadster.
