The much-anticipated sports coupe is available by customer order from Mazda and Mazda Anfini dealerships across Japan. The Roadster Coupe is a two-seat sports coupe based on Mazda's popular Roadster. With its responsive handling and exhilarating performance, the Roadster truly embodies Mazda's brand personality. The Roadster Coupe further builds on the fun to drive characteristics of the original Roadster and is designed to appeal to customers who value impressive styling and driving performance.

The stylish Roadster Coupe further advances on the design of its base model the Roadster. Hand modeling and the latest CAD technology were employed in the process to create a semi-classic feel that combines sporty and dynamic features with functional styling. The Roadster Coupe is the only domestically produced rear drive coupe with an engine size less than two liters.

During development of the vehicle's closed body, engineers revised the body structure in order to enhance body rigidity. This was achieved with a total weight increase of only ten kilograms. These improvements further advance on the fun to drive qualities of the original Roadster.

Aimed at customers who value uniqueness and refined styling, the Roadster Coupe comes in four grades with a choice of three package types. Production of Type A and Type E vehicles is limited to 200 units and 150 units, respectively.
