Page 1 of 1 After being one of the main players in the relaunching of Grand Touring races in the 1990's, Venturi is now making a return to the world of competition with the Venturi GT3. ased on the 300 Atlantique, from which it has evolved considerably - except for the passenger compartment, 100% of its parts are new -, it meets the expectations of drivers and Venturi fans in strong-arm fashion with a V8 4.2 l engine of almost 500 hp whose torque attains 600 Nm. Fitted with a sequential 6-speed gear-box, this motopropellant arrangement is ideally positioned in the center at the rear. Satisfying an ambitious set of specifications, the racing car only weighs a total 1,170 kg. The Venturi GT3 has been approved by the FIA to take part in all the national and international championships that come under its authority.
With its deliberately "vintage" design, this GT pays tribute to cars that have exemplified Venturi's sporting past : like the 400 Trophy and 600 SLM, the Venturi GT3 accredits itself with the title of France's most powerful car of the moment. Its behaviour is identical to that of other cars in the Venturi range, with which it shares the same basic attributes : exemplary road-holding, mastery of weight and performance. Only a very limited series of vehicles will be built ; six of them are reserved for the FIA GT3 2007 championship, when these Venturis will confront GTs entered by the world's greatest automobile groups.
