Page 1 of 1 It must have taken some effort but Ruf Automobile found a gap in the Porsche 911 line-up; a turbocharged Targa. This situation has been addressed by the introduction of the Turbo Florio, shown for the first time at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. The creatively chosen name is a reference to the Targa Florio, which inspired the Targa name in the first place.
As the name suggests, Ruf have combined the Targa body-style with a forced-induction flat six. Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo engine, it has been further modified to produce a staggering 620 bhp, which is even more than the range-topping 911 Turbo S. Torque is also up, to a staggering 824 Nm.
Ruf offers the Turbo Florio with a choice of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed, dual clutch automatic gearbox. Customers can also choose for all-wheel drive or if they are particularly brave for rear-wheel drive only. Page 1 of 1
