Click here to download printer friendly versionThe final Berliet road car was introduced in 1936, the 11 CV Dauphine. The Dauphine was quite modern with independent front wheel suspension and an aerodynamic body. The aerodynamic was later replaced by a Peugeot 402 body, as seen in here on the final version of the 11 CV. Berliet ended production of cars in 1939 to concentrate on building trucks. The production of trucks lasted until the 1970s.

Even though the no Berliet has been built in over 60 years the French cars still have a large group of loyal fans. This one is seen at the Retromobile Paris show on the Berliet Foundation stand.
