Page 1 of 2 Next >> It is in this space, stretched between vision and substance, that the Kimera K-39 is born. With this project, Kimera Automobili takes the most radical and paradigm-shifting step in its history. Having reinterpreted and pushed to the extreme the concept of the restomod – through evolved takes on the cars that made rally history in the 1980s, with the EVO37 and the EVO38 – the brand unveils its first wholly original creation: a completely in-house project, born from pure Kimera DNA. Not the evolution of an existing car – which in the brand's vocabulary is associated with the prefix EVO – but a new identity. The prefix K stands for Kimera, naturally, and marks this new direction, while 39 denotes the progressive project number. The K-39 is therefore not simply a new model: it marks an epochal milestone, the fully realized embodiment of Kimera's unmistakable stylistic, technical, and cultural voice. And More than a Dream captures the essence of this moment. With the EVO37 and the EVO38, Kimera Automobili built a strong and recognisable cultural identity, proving that it is possible to engage with history without merely replicating it, but elevating it in a way that is powerfully and distinctively its own. With the K-39, the brand brings this journey to its logical conclusion; in doing so, enters the hypercar segment: the absolute pinnacle of the automotive world, alongside the most prestigious manufacturers in the field. In the automotive imagination, there is one place where beauty, history and desire converge with this particular intensity: the shores of Lake Como, during the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Since 1929, this event has stood as the most refined and authoritative stage in the world for the celebration of the automobile as a cultural, artistic and engineering expression at its very highest level, a gathering where every car present tells a story of style, innovation and belonging. This is not Kimera's first appearance here. In 2025, the EVO38 Prototype 00 was selected in the Concept Cars & Prototypes class, alongside true legends of the automotive world: Pagani, Glickenhaus, Lotus, Alfa Romeo Zagato. A presence that sealed the brand's definitive entry into the global automotive elite and, at the same time, opened a dialogue between eras: the tradition that Kimera reinterprets and the authentically analogue vision that defines the brand's approach: respectful of its heritage, and profoundly contemporary. Today, with the K-39, Kimera returns to Villa d'Este for a new and even more ambitious challenge. For this extraordinary occasion, Kimera elects Villa Flori – the space overlooking the waters of Lake Como that the brand has chosen as its home on the Lombard shore – as a true Villa Kimera: a place where the brand's past and future coexist beneath the same sky. Here, visitors will be able to admire the entire Kimera range – from the EVO37 to the EVO38, across the full breadth of their configurations, including those developed in collaboration with Martini – alongside the K-39, present also in the dramatic Pikes Peak configuration. An exclusive and intimate display, entirely coherent with the tailored spirit that defines every Kimera creation: not simply an exhibition, but an authentic encounter between Kimera's vision and those who share the same, uncompromising passion for an idea of the automobile that never settles. As with the brand's previous creations, the K-39 finds its roots and its inspiration in the glorious pages of 1980s motorsport. But this time the gaze shifts, from the word of rally to circuit racing: the reference point is the competition silhouettes that dominated the World Endurance Championship (formerly World Championship for Makes), not only winning titles but also capturing the hearts of enthusiasts, with lines sculpted by the wind, radical proportions and a technical beauty that remains unmatched to this day. Kimera gathers that cultural heritage and offers an answer to those who ask: what would happen if that vision were given new tools today? What answers that question – and makes this car all the more extraordinary – is, above all, one of the most significant collaborations the global automotive world has witnessed in recent years. An encounter between two proudly independent spirits – deeply anchored in their roots – converging on a shared truth: the automobile, in its purest essence, must never yield to standardisation.
