Chassis:
Chassis 0384AM was the first of eight 375 Plus chassis produced. It was extensively raced early in its life by the Scuderia Ferrari, winning the Daily Express Trophy at Silverstone with Froilan Gonzales at the wheel. The car was subsequently sold to the United States where it was raced extensively before it was damaged in a fire. It has since been part of a controversy and was reportedly stolen during the 1980s. Fully restored, the car was seen in the hands of a Belgian enthusiast during the 2004 Le Mans Classic. The controversy however continued and was not settled until early 2014 with the help of auctioneer Bonhams. As per the settlement, the car will be auctioned by Bonhams in their Goodwood Festival of Speed sale on June 27th with both parties sharing the proceeds.
