Delivered new to Dick Barbour, this 935 K3 was driven throughout the 1980 and 1981 seasons with great success by John Fitzpatrick. Among his co-drivers were Barbour himself but also the likes of Brian Redman and Manfred Schurti. Joined by Barbour and Redman, Fitzpatrick finished fifth overall and first in class at Le Mans in 1980. He would go on to score numerous outright victories on both sides of the Atlantic. Beautifully restored by Bruce Canepa, chassis 000 00023 is today in American hands and is regularly raced at historic events.
