Chassis:
Never raced in period, this 250 LM has nevertheless had a very colourful history. Its first owner was the great collector William Harrah and one of the subsequent owners showed it at Pebble Beach in 1969. Soon after, it was involved in a very heavy and fiery accident. The car was not immediately rebuilt and eventually the remains of the chassis and the engine were separated. Both were used for separate reconstructions both claiming to be chassis 6045. The situation was eventually rectified in 2010 when a British-based collector acquired both cars and commissioned DK Engineering to reunite the original chassis and engine.
