This is one of just 822 Camaros originally ordered with the COPO 9561 big block engine in combination with the four-speed manual gearbox (a further 193 were built with automatic gearboxes). Today it is hard to distinguish an original 'COPO' from a later modification because the paperwork never listed the modifications fitted by the dealers. The featured example has a well known history and is definitely one of the original COPOs. It is fitted with a close-ratio gearbox, four-wheel disc brakes and painted in the striking 'Olympic Gold.' In 2007 it was offered in Bonhams & Butterfields' Quail Auction where it sold for a hefty $199,500.
