Chassis:
Preston Henn, of Florida Swap Shop fame and fortune, replaced his very wild Porsche 935 with this 962 halfway during the 1984 season. He knew what he could expect as he had also raced a 956 the previous year. He actually debuted the car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans before bringing it to the United States for the final round of the season. Liveried in Valvoline colours, it was driven to victory in the following season's Daytona 24 Hours and painted in Swap Shop colours it also won the Sebring 12 Hours. Henn has retained this very successful 962, now restored to its Daytona winning livery, and is seen here in action during the 2009 Monterey Historics.
