Chassis:
This is the third of six A1s built by Arrows. It was first raced by Ricardo Patrese at the 1978 Italian Grand Prix where he retired with engine an engine failure. The Italian did end the year on a high with a fourth place finish in the Candian Grand Prix. The chassis was used twice more at the start of the 1979 season by Jochen Mass before it was retired from contemporary events. Owned at the time by an English historic racer, it is seen here at the 2005 Silverstone Classic boasting the 1979 Warsteiner livery.
