Chassis:
Completed early in 1967, this 365 California was shown at the Geneva and New York motor shows that year. It was soon after sold to a leasing company, who leased the car to an American doctor. During this time, over 50,000 miles put on the exclusive Ferrari. After changing hands several times, it was once again owned by a leasing company during the mid-1970s, who removed the pop-up headlights. Further damage was done when the car was rear-ended in a car-port affecting both the tail and nose of the car. Fortunately, the car was rescued by noted collector Greg Garrison, who had it restored by Ferrari and Pininfarina in 1977. He would go on to own the car until his death in 2005 and since then it has been auctioned twice by Gooding at Pebble Beach, most recently in 2010 for $880,000.
