Chassis:
It is believed that this early Lotus 47 GT was sold new to Nick Moor Racing and campaigned by John Blades during the 1967 season. Following a succession of British owners, it was sold to the United States in 1995. In 2002, it was completely restored and finished in the legendary Gold Leaf Team Lotus livery used by the works team in 1968. Nearly a decade later, it was offered by Bonhams in their 2011 Quail Lodge sale where it found a new owner for a relatively modest $139,000. Acquired by a French enthusiast, it has since been regularly raced in historic events like the Le Mans Classic and the Spa Classic.
