Chassis: HU2
The second T260 built, chassis HU2 served as a spare during the 1971 season but was never used by Jackie Stewart. At the start of 1972, it was sold to Tom Heyser, who raced it for two more seasons in the Can-Am Challenge Cup. In 1974, it was entrusted to John Gunn, who managed to place third in the very last Can-Am race, just ahead of the sister car piloted by Bob Nagel. Chassis HU2 was eventually acquired by Peter Kaus, who had assembled an unprecedented number of Can-Am cars in his Rosso Bianco Collection. The T260 was restored to 1971 works livery and display in the museum for many years. After the collection was sold off early in 2006, it was offered at the Bonhams Quail Auction later that year where it found a new owner for $195,000. Not seen in public since then, it has now been consigned to the RM Auctions Monaco sale with an estimate of EUR 250,000 - 320,000.
