Sold new to a variety store owner in A.L. Duckwall of Salinas, Kansas, this Marmon Sixteen featured a five-passenger sedan body from the LeBaron catalog. Passing through various hands, the V16-engined machine remained in Kansas until 1990. At that time, it was complete, although in need of a restoration. The work was started in the 1990s but not completed until well over a decade later when the car had passed into the hands of noted Marmon Sixteen enthusiast Marvin Tamaroff. Responsible for the restoration was marque expert Harry Sherry. Soon after the Five-Passenger Sedan was restored, it was sold to the current owners. They showed the car at select events before offering it at the RM Auctions Michigan sale on July 27th. The pre-sale estimate for this striking machine is $350,000 - $500,000.
