Chassis:
One of the 21 Ulster production cars, this example was loaned to prominent privateer racer Eddie Hall. He immediately entered the car in the 1935 Mille Miglia and fought for the class lead until an oil-leak ended his charge early. It was later also raced by another noted Aston Martin racer, Maurice Falkner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Hall later shared the car with Count Giovanni Lurani to win the 1.5-litre class in the Targa Abruzzo. It was soon after sold by Aston Martin to one Ian Porter-Hargreaves. He campaigned the car with a centric supercharger for three years but with little success.
After the War, it was sold on and the supercharger was removed again. In 1963, it was acquired by Derrick Edwards, who was a leading figure in the Aston Martin world. He extensively campaigned the car for thirty years in a wide variety of events. During the 1990s, it was sold on yet continued to be campaigned in historic events like the Mille Miglia retrospective and Le Mans Classic.
