Chassis:
First used in practice of the 1972 British Grand Prix, this is the first Tyrrell built to the new design. It was used by Jackie Stewart exclusively that year, who raced it to victory in the Canadian and United States Grands Prix. Early in 1973, chassis 005 was campaigned by both Stewart and Cevert. Later in the year, it was pressed back into service for a pair of outings with Chris Amon behind the wheel. Its final races came in 1974 when Patrick Depailler used it on three occasions, with a fourth at Kyalami as the best result.
