Ted Field's Interscope Racing was the original owner of this 1978 specification Porsche 935. At its debut, the 1978 Daytona 24 Hours, it immediately grabbed pole but an engine failure ended the race early. Field and/or Danny Ongais, sometimes partnered with Milt Minter would go to campaign the car in the IMSA GT Championship well into the 1980 season. Although it started several other races from pole position, outright victories eluded this car. Among the subsequent owners was Swiss historic racer and prominent Porsche collector Jean-Marc Luco. In more recent years, it has returned to American ownership.
