Chassis:
This is the second of two P167s built by BRM. It was not pressed into service until after the entire program had been sold to David Hepworth. He fielded this car in several Interseries events but with limited success. The car, along with the other BRM Group 7 machines, was retained by the family. Not used since 1973, the restoration of this chassis started in earnest in March of 2015. The late David Hepworth's son Stephen and Andrew did most of the work, later with help from original crew chief John Brooke, who had flown in for the occasion from Canada. In little over three months the mammoth task was completed and the rare BRM turned a wheel under its own power for the first time in over 40 years at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
