Chassis:
The very first Ferrari 250 Europa completed, this car was shown alongside the very similar 375 America at the 1953 Paris Auto Salon. As per Ferrari's request, it was clothed by Vignale with a striking Coupe body. The Italian carrozzeria clothed just one more 250 Europa with this style coach-work. Shortly after its motor show duties, chassis 0295EU was sold to the United States. Here, the full width bumper was replaced by two small 'bumperettes'. It has remained in the United States ever since, and during the 1980s was restored for the first time. In more recent years, it was acquired by the current owner, who had it restored once more, this time by Brian Hoyt. Shown in public for the first time in many years, it was brought out for the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It was subsequently also shown at Villa d’Este and many other events before it was consigned to the 2024 RM Sotheby’s Miami auction.
