Completed by Trojan early in 1970, this car was sold new to American racer Steve Durst. He campaigned the car in the 1970 SCCA Nationals until he crashed at St Jovite and damaged the car. Although the damage was repairable, the car was not raced again and was eventually offered for sale by a Toyota dealer in 1974. It passed through various hands and was restored to full running order during the 1980s. In 1988, it was acquired by Mike Yancheck and displayed in the Novi Racing Museum for some time until his passing in the mid-1990s. From Yanchek's estate, it was acquired with several other cars by VJ Malya. It was then offered from his fabulous collection at Bonhams' 2015 Quail Lodge sale. (Source: Oldracingcars.com)
