Chassis:
Chassis 3309SA was the final of six Pinin Farina Cabriolets built on the Series 1 400 Superamerica. It was first shown at the New York Auto Show in April of 1962. Through Ferrari's American importer, Luigi Chinetti, it was sold to J. Stallings in Arizona. After changing hands several times, it eventually ended up in France. In recent years the Superamerica returned to the United States. Here it was fully restored by Brad Hoyt and shown during the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it was awarded third in class. In May 2010 it was offered in RM Auctions' inaugural Classics of Monaco sale. It sold for EUR2,800,000 ($3,799,600); a world record for a Superamerica.
