Chassis:
Built ahead of the 1980 season, chassis 1006 was entrusted to the Jolly Club team during the 1980 season. It was raced predominantly by Carlo Facetti and Martino Finotto. They finished 19th overall at Le Mans that year and towards the end of the season, Facetti won two minor events in Italy with 1006. In 1981, this car, as chassis 1006 was pressed into service once more for a works entry in the 1981 Kyalami 9 Hours where it was raced to 4th overall by Emanuele Pirro and Michele Alboreto. Having survived in remarkably original condition, it was eventually acquired by an Italian enthusiast, joining two other Betas in his collection. After first showing the car in as-found condition, he had it meticulously restored to full running order. At the first outing, the 2017 Jarama Classic, he drove the car to class victory together with former Formula 1 racer Alex Caffi.
