Chassis:
Towards the end of 1970, chassis CH-DBE-35 was delivered as rolling chassis to Roger Heavens. Due to a shortage in FVC supply, it was raced with an FVA on three occasions, before a proper FVC could be acquired. It was raced through to the end of 1971 when it was replaced by a Chevron B21. For this car, Heavens removed the engine, gearbox and four corners from the B16 and then offered the remaining chassis and bodywork for sale. In 1972, chassis CH-DBE-35 was sold to a Randy Berry, who used it as the basis for his Marauder kit car. In 1986, the car was sold again and submitted to a complete restoration, carried out for the third owner by Berry and later on Steve Cole. While the work was completed, the car was not raced until it was acquired by the current, Italian owner in the early 2010s.
