Chassis:
Finished in green with a black interior, this steel bodied car was the 135th of 165 250 GT SWB Berlinettas built. It was sold new to a Milan-based enthusiast and it changed hands several times before it joined a German collection in 1972. It remained there until 1985 when it was acquired by fourth owner Erich Traber, who had the car comprehensively restored. Among the next custodians was Italian historic racer Franco Meiniers. Fitted with an external fuel filler and a 250 GTE-based racing engine, he campaigned the car along with Bernard Duc during the late 1990s. Re-fitted with the original engine, it passed through various hands again, which included noted American collectors Bruce McCaw and Ken McBride. During the late 2000s, it joined the stable of British radio and TV presenter Chris Evans. To match the rest of his Ferraris, he had 3401GT painted white. Since it was sold at auction in 2010, it has been regularly raced by its current, Belgian owner.
