Chassis:
This is the first of a pair of 85Cs built by Dome ahead of the 1985 season. It was first raced at Fuji to a seventh in the 1000 km race before being shipped to Le Mans. Here it finished 12th overall in what was Toyota's debut in the 24 Hours. The car was then returned to Japan and continued to be raced into the 1986 season. It placed second on three different occasions but never clinched a victory. In 2016, it returned to Le Mans for the Group C race during that year's Le Mans Classic. It was back again two years later.
