Chassis:
Sold through Max Moritz Sportwagen, this RS was acquired new by German private racer Rolf Blind. Finished in a green-yellow with golden wheels and stripes, it was raced extensively throughout Europe. In 1976, the owner joined the Porsche Hahn team and accordingly the car was finished in the colours of the team's sponsor, beer brand Dinckel Acker. It was raced through to the 1978 and towards the end of its career was also fitted with a twin-spark, RSR engine. Following its retirement from contemporary racing, it was sold to an enthusiast in Luxembourg. The car was then extensively damaged in a fire. The remains were then stored only to resurface in Germany many years later. Although at least one more car claims the 911 460 9089 identity, the featured example was authenticated by Porsche in 1992. During the following years, it was gradually restored before it was ultimately brought to full racing condition in 2012 while in Belgian ownership. It was decided to finish the car in the Dinkel Acker colours it sported during the DRM race at Zolder in 1976. Since the work was completed, it has been raced in historic events.
