Chassis:
One of three cars delivered to Brun Motorsport, this car was raced by the team in the DTM and ETCC Championships by a variety of drivers. As the team switched liveries and even serial numbers between the cars, it is impossible to say which specific races the car did during this period. Ahead of the 1986 season, it was acquired by privateer racer Kurt Koenig and still sported a Jambon des Ardennes livery. This made it the Brun Motorsport car raced by Thierry Boutsen, Harald Grohs and Walter Brun himself in the 1985 Spa 24 Hours. Later that year, it was also raced at a German Grand Prix support event by Rudi Walch. Koenig would go on to race the car in the DTM during the 1986 and 1987 seasons, winning one race before the BMW M3 became the car of choice. Following its retirement, chassis RA1-12 remained in Koenig's private collection until in 2009 when it was acquired by Frank Jacob. He entrusted the car to Rudi Walch for a comprehensive restoration to full running order. It returned to competition following during the 2016 season after it was acquired by Belgian preparer Gipimotor.
