This single louvre 250 GT 'Tour de France' was delivered new to its French owner, Jacques Peron, in time for the 1958 Tour de France. Peron co-drove with Harry Schell and finished fourth overall. The car was then sold to another French privateer racer, who competed in select events during the 1959 season. Following a sojourn in Italy, it was acquired by noted American collector David Love in 1972. He used the car extensively both on the road and track until his passing in 2013. From his estate, the car was acquired by the current owner, who had the car completely restored to its original configuration and livery.
