Chassis: S850667
Chassis S850667 was delivered in time for its first, Australian owner, Bob Jane, to compete in the 1963/64 Australian GT Championship. He won straight out of the box at Calder and continued to race the car successfully through to the 1966 season. In 1964, he also shipped back to Great Britain and raced it at Brands Hatch. During the 1970s, it was converted from road use and in 1980, it was acquired by Peter Briggs, who displayed the car for many years at the York Motor Museum in Perth, Australia. In 1999, it was sold to an American enthusiast, who had owned it for nearly two decades before consigning it to the January 2017 Bonhams Scottsdale auction. For a racing car, it has survived in remarkably original condition and its three owners only racked up around 4,000 miles.
