An early Evo II, this example was sold new to Japan. Here it remained with the same collector for two decades. After it eventually left the country, it became the first car of its type to be publicly offered in North America. With just 5,000 original kilometres on the odometer, it was consigned to the January 2017 RM Sotheby's Scottsdale sale.
