Chassis:
One of 20 Group B works cars, this was one of three brand new Turbo 5s added to the Renault Sport stable at the start of the 1983 season. For the next two seasons, it was raced in various colour schemes by works drivers like Jean Ragnotti. It was then sold to privateer racer Paul Rouby in 1985. The following year, he placed sixth overall in the Tour de Corse. After the end of Group B left the car obsolete, Rouby sold it to a longtime French owner in 1987. It finally changed hands again in 2002 and then once more in 2010. It was subsequently comprehensively restored by Stephane Poudrel to the distinctive yellow and white livery used by Ragnotti early in the car's career. While the original gearbox is still with the car, it is today fitted with a straight-cut gearbox. All other mechanical components are as originally fitted to the car.
