Chassis:
Originally conceived as a Group 4 car, this 5 Turbo was entered by the works team in 1981 Monte Carlo Rally by Bruno Saby. He was forced to retire after sustaining accident damage. The repaired car was then sold to the Greek Renault representative, who rallied under the pseudonym 'Leonidas'. Painted in FINA colours, it was raced to eighth overall in the Acropolis Rally. The car was then sent back to Dieppe where it was updated to Group B specifications. In this guise it was entered in the Acropolis rally again. For the 1984 season, it was sold to Dimitris Manolopoulos, who would go on to race the car with great success along with his son Thomas for the next 30 years. Together they claimed a staggering 200 victories in local rallies and hill climbs.
