Chassis:
Pressed into service for the 1972 Spanish Grand Prix, this is the fourth and final 312 B2 built. Clay Regazzoni drove the car to third at its Jarama debut. It was then raced only twice more in 1972, to 12th by Arturo Merzario at the Nürburgring and to seventh by Mario Andretti at Monza. Merzario made the final contemporary appearances at the start of the 1973 season, adding a ninth in Brazil and a fourth in Argentina to its tally. It eventually joined the collection of Swiss collector Albert Obrist. Still in beautifully original condition, it was displayed many years later by Tradex at the 2017 Retromobile.
