Completed late in 1971, this is the prototype Eagle 7200. It was successfully tested by Bobby Unser at Ontario before being pressed into service as his 'short oval' car. He won with this car at Phoenix, Trenton, Milwaukee and Phoenix again later in the year. At the end of the season, it was sold to the MVS team who converted the car to a Ford turbo engine. In this guise, it was raced by a choice of drivers for several more seasons but with limited success. The well raced machine was eventually entrusted to former AAR mechanic Mike Lewis, who restored to car to its original configuration and colours. It was shown and campaigned at several events before it was offered at auction in 2008. It did not sell but has since changed hands.
