Chassis:
One of the Porsche works cars readied for the 1998 season, this GT1 '98 was first seen at the FIA GT round at Oschersleben. The next major outing was the Le Mans Test where it was fastest of all. A month later, it started fifth in the hands of Allan McNish, Laurent Aiello and Stephane Ortelli. Beating the quicker opposition, it finished first ahead of the sister car. Chassis 003 continued to be campaigned by the works team in the FIA GT Championship but no further wins were scored. Restored to its Le Mans winning livery, it is today regularly demonstrated by Porsche around the world.
