Chassis:
Swiss privateer racer Jo Siffert acquired this, the final BT11 built, and had it fitted with the BRM V8 engine. He originally fielded the car by himself under the Siffert Racing Team banner with a fourth as the best result. Towards the end of 1964, Siffert teamed up with Rob Walker, who already ran the other BRM engined BT11 for Jo Bonnier. It immediately payed off as Siffert clinched a third at his first outing sporting the typical Walker colours. The partnership continued throughout the 1965 season with a 4th in the final outing of the year. Still in remarkably original condition, F1-6-64 has been owned for a long time by an Irish collector and historic racer, and only rarely seen in public. It was brought out for the 2010 Goodwood Revival where it was driven for the owner by compatriot John Monson.
