Chassis:
Not one of the eight original 'Tipo 256' competition cars, chassis 913213 originally started life in 1939/1940 as a 6C 2500 S fitted with a five-seater body. After a spell in Spain it eventually ended up in the United States in the early 1990s. Lacking its original body, the car was in need of a complete resurrection. Instead of rebuilding the car to its original configuration, owners Ken Shaff and Conrad Stevenson decided to recreate one of the long lost 6C 2500 SS Corsa cars that were raced by the Alfa Romeo works team up until the outbreak of the War.
Taken almost a decade to complete, the meticulous work resulted in a very exact copy of the competition 6C 2500s. Since its completion in 2004, the car has been a loyal participant in many events during the following years. After the 2009 Monterey Historic Automobile Races it was offered for just under $400,000 by Fantasy Junction.
