Like all of the mid-engined Chaparrals, the 2J was retained by Jim Hall and stored for many years in his Midland, Texas workshop. In recent years, he restored the surviving machines one by one, and today they are all in full working order. These Chaparrals are permanently displayed in the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas. At one of its rare outings the unique 2J is seen here at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed where unconventional racing cars were celebrated. Among the drivers on duty that weekend was Vic Elford himself.
