Hi my father Ron Hardwick won the Macau GP in 1959 in the 757. As it hasn't been seen in the last 5 years...when and where was it last seen. Any help would be received with thanks. Matt. |

I can't beleive that I stood right next to this car, admired it, and didnt realize it was the Steve Mcqueen XKSS. The Amelia Island Concours will do that to you. There are so many unbeleivable cars that you just get overwhelmed and miss very important details. I mean, I have this specific car and all it's $2.5 million glory on my list of dream cars and didnt even realize I was looking at it. |

This was actually no more than a disguised D-type, as it was equipped with a hood, windscreen, luggage rack, and chrome bumpers. The American market needed a car like this, hence Jaguar's answer. It's a shame only 16 were built. Anyone who acquired one of these, really knew his/her motors. At that time it must have been a true sensation. It offers performance which can easily outclass many of today's sports cars. He who drives an XKSS is truly blessed. |
