 Beautiful P2

No doubt, the Acura ARX-01a/b/c/d/e is the most beautiful looking LMP car of the modern (post 2000) era. The aerodynamics are awesome, especially the DeFerran car which raced at the ALMS with the dark black skin looked like a car made from muscles and shaped by water and air... the more interesting that it has never seen a windtunnel despite looking like made from wind and air itself.

Even though I am a massive Porsche fan and the RS Spyder still is the most successful P2 car ever, despite being much older than the Acura, I love the ARX. It's my wallpaper now since 7 months and before that I changed it every 3-4 days... I think that tells a lot...
 The great ARX 01b

This is my favorite LMP of all time. The aerodynamics on the ARX 01b are surely second to none. It is the only P2 car that is really on par with the all conquering Porsche RS spyder. It is a real shame that this will probably never make it to the UK. I just wish I could see it in all it's glory and hear it's wonderful and distinctive sound for real. The development of the car this year has really paid off because it has shown the RS spyder and the mighty R10 TDI the way home on several occasions this year. I think it is good that Acura is going to move up to P1 in 2009 and challenge Audi and Peugeot and hopefully win Le Mans. No doubt about it though... The P2 car is sensational. All hail the ARX 01b!
