....., Why there was never a version using the Alpine version of the R16 engine and gearbox in these lovely Chassis's. The 'stock' series 1 & 2 Europa didn't even get a decent version, just the base R16 engine, instead of the TS variant - the close to 25hp difference would have livened up the road going version, and the Alpine developed engine would have easily matched the Ford. |
