Frank Tamburo sold a half-completed Wolverine project to Martin Christensen AND Mogens Christensen who were both involved in the restoration of the car in Denmark and both subsequently competed at Goodwood and SPA until the car was acquired in full by Mogens Christensen in order for him to run at CANAM Reunion 2016. |

In 2004, Frank Tamburo of Bisbee Arizona, U.S.A. purchased the Wolverine from Richard Bennett. Except for the Magnesium wheels and the Weber induction system, the car had been sitting outside for 25 years. A 4-year mechanical restoration took place at my shop (Bisbee Precision Machine). The elements had not been kind to the car, and much of the frame had to be replaced. In late 2008, Martin Borch-Christiansen bought the car from Frank, and shipped it to his home in Denmark. At this point, the Wolverine was, again, a running car. Martin got the chassis race-ready, and undertook the task of repairing the body, and applying the paint scheme it carries today. Martin raced the car at Goodwood, and other vintage venues before selling the car to its current owner. |
