see Farboud GT1just bang it in to your sarch engine he did it from photos after going to the race, he came home and asked can i buy one please no chance! so he made his own from scrach.I got involed with it about 4 years back were it sat in his garage with a motor that would not run,he had some very powerful v6 twin turbo Dylinks units left over from his other project and this was what i fitted to it giving it a nice usable 450hp. 2 years ago we toke it to the prade d pilot as gest of the Le mans ADO were Alain came over to see what we had done he like the car as did Mr Moss.Did find it funny as we drove the the curcit with ploice escort two chaps stop a 360 in the midlle of the road jump out to take photos. Also gets lots of fun in London at the Gum Ball start.some are lucky with brains but i am very thankful i am with my hands and this gave me the chance to drive this car on the streets I was just in the right place at the right time

There are more then 3 cars of the 996 GT1/98!

Two were driven within the FIA GT by Porsche in the "Mobil 1"-livery as seen above, two other by Zakspeed in green "Jever"-livery (in one race in white "Jever"-livery) and one spare chassis, which was used after one of the works cars rolled in Road Atlanta.
Also there was a sixth car, which was built as the homologation road car.
 Why ?????????????

By something Porsche doesn't simply return her Reads mans With the Projeto PORSCHE LMP2000 that lem of seeming very aerodynamic, he uses the motor of Porsche 911 GT-98, that is the best Car done by Porsche until this very day being less fast than 917 lh and the 956 / 962. I am sure that GT1-98 with the same 610 hp of potency of AUDIS, was able to vencelos because same being heavier he possesses the best aerodynamics seen in he/she Reads Mans, in addition if it didn't go this him no run with the Toyotas GT-ones that besides great aerodynamics, it possessed 50 hp the more than Porsche 911 GT1-98, or be 600 hp against 550 hp, also counting that the angle of the aerofolio of GT-one was practically to 40% smaller and the weight was in favor of Toyota that weighed 903 kg against the 950 kg of Porsche. If the dispute be taken in aerodynamics GT1-98 leaves winning because even with aerofolio twice larger in angle than GT-one of Toyota, the low height of GT1-98 and the aerodynamic lines favor it with CX 0.28 against 0.30. However nor because of these differences the dempenho was bad, because Toyota arrived to 380 KM/h and it accelerated of 0-100 km/h in 3,3 seconds and the porsche arrived to 370 Km/h and it went of 0-100 km/h in only 3,4 s. And to improve the things GT1-98 he had the great lateral acceleration of 1.31g against 1.24g of Toyota. Then imagine what now would be capable GT1 with the same 600 hp, him maybe the would arrive about 385 KM/h (same using the aerofolio with the same downforce) and 0-100 km/h in 3.2 s.
 Beautiful!

This car is one of the best looking protype racer in Le Mans. The only other car close to it is the Toyota GT1. Excellent job Porsche! Everybody is still waiting for you guys to return to Le Mans to kick some Audi a--. Audi has won enough, it's time for a change. Instead of making that crapy SUV which no one will want (well sone idiot will buy it no matter what) you should have invested your time and money in competing at Le Mans!
